I’m 2 weeks and 4 days away from the Texas State Powerlifting Competition. I’m feeling the most confident about my lifts than ever for this coming meet! Gonna smash some records!
She’s finally pulling more than me!
Today was Kelly’s first max effort deadlift day and I’m happy to report that she is finally pulling me weight than me!

Busy morning with a max box squat session, maxing out at 140# followed by deficit deadlifts, stiff legged deadlifts & back extensions. Good morning low back!
Squat session
We maxed out at 235 today! We’ve been training to break PRs but since she’s expressed interest in powerlifting in competition, moving forward we’ll be training the box squat to ensure we’re hitting depth every time!
Muscles!
Plyo Push Ups
Week after maxing out and mostly doing body building workouts with some pylo work. Hadn’t attempted these in a while. Felt good! This was superset with incline DB flys.
Weighted Dips
Training triceps after some bench work. Thought I’d try adding a little weight and was surprised with how awesome this was! Knocked out 10 reps on my last 2 sets.
